Institutopaolaantonini Founded in December 2020, the Paola Antonini Institute aims to provide accessibility and mobility for people with physical disabilities.

Get to know Paola Antonini’s overcoming story. Model and presenter tells how her life changed after suffering a serious accident. In I lost a part of me and I was reborn, Paola Antonini sensitively and honestly tells the story of her life after being run over at the door of her house, aged twenty, and having her leg amputated. “I had my left leg amputated and, in the first few days that followed, I found myself in the position to make a decision that would make my life before that day became just a distant memory. I had lost my leg, that was a fact. But how I would react to that was up to me and how I would decide to live from December 27, 2014 onwards,” says the model. Always with a positive outlook, Paola relives complicated passages in her life in the book. “I lost a leg, but I gained wings. Wings to go further and live a life in which the word ‘impossible’ no longer exists”, writes Paola. Since she had the accident, she has become an active voice by showing her daily life on social media and has gained millions of followers. In December 2020, she founded the Paola Antonini Institute, which works to provide the rehabilitation of people with physical disabilities through the donation of prostheses, orthoses, wheelchairs, accessories and also offers psychological assistance and physiotherapy to patients.
