During his illustrious career
Ambassador Colonel (ret.) Gregory Gadson was awarded three Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, two Distinguished Service Medals, and the Legion of Merit while serving more than two decades in the US Army. In May 2007, he underwent a bilateral above-knee amputation after sustaining serious injuries while on active duty in Baghdad. Today, Colonel Gadson enjoys living life to the fullest.
Greg Gadson is very proud of the fact that all of his soldiers returned home from Iraq alive, serving a 15-month deployment. And since retiring from active duty, he has pursued his interests in photography and the outdoors, volunteering for new physical challenges like skiing and diving.
Greg D. Gadson is also an entrepreneur, motivational speaker and actor, making his professional debut in the 2012 film Battleship. “Technology has taught me what is possible and reminded me to keep challenging myself,” he says. “Life itself is inspiring.”
